astrology is the art of interpreting symbols. a good astrological consultation can bring wonderful insight into your current situation, and offer a meaningful context for the particular problems or questions you bring to the astrologer.

however, as in all fields, occasionally there are irresponsible practitioners, offering bad advice. currently, anyone can call themselves an astrologer and charge money for it, in most parts of the world. therefore the only sensible advice if you are looking for an astrological consultation is caveat emptor - buyer beware. A good astrologer should be able to supply you with an informative sheet or flyer detailing their educational background, astrological interests and preferences, and their rates. ask for this in advance of any appointment. if you don't like the look of them, then enquire at a regional astrological association and ask them to send you a list of local practitioners.

astrologers claiming qualifications from astrological schools or associations are aware that their claims are visible by the accrediting bodies. metalog will endeavour to request those bodies to confirm that the qualifications are genuine; but this may not prove practicable in all cases. therefore mention of a qualification indicates only that the astrologer has claimed such a qualification, and not that they actually possess one. anyone proved to have claimed false qualifications will be removed automatically from the directory.

complaints against qualified astrologers should be directed first to the individual astrologer. if you are not satisfied with their response, then the school or association they trained with should be notified immediately. if you are unsatisfied with a student astrologer's work, then naturally their school or teacher should be informed, if, after discussing your complaint with him or her, you are still dissatisfied.

no correspondence can be entered into by metalog regarding an individual astrologer's work, although if there is evidence of unprofessional conduct, he or she will be removed from the directory.

complaints against merchants and other service providers registered with metalog should be directed to the merchant or service provider.

compliments on the quality of goods and/or services that a member of metalog provides should be similarly directed to that member, as often and as generously as you can.
