In 1988, Julian first discovered astrology through books and readings. For the next ten years, his interest grew while he worked as an artist and musician. In 1998, astrology began to take over culminating in becoming a professional astrologer in 2002.

Julian studied Astrology through the Faculty of Astrological studies, including their summer school at Brasenose College in Oxford and has the F.A.S. certificate. He also attended a residential Horary Astrology course tutored by master astrologer and author, Deborah Houlding. He now teaches astrology at beginner and intermediate level in the Brighton and Hove area, in Sussex in England.

Julian is a member of the Astrological Association of Great Britain and a committee member of the Astrological Lodge of London. He makes regular appearances on BBC Southern counties radio, giving interviews and responding to 'phone-in' caller's questions on astrology.
