COUNCIL NEWS - September 2005

World Gatherings of Astrologers

August to October is an important time for world astrology. Two major twined events are set to advance understanding and set in motion many contacts, projects and other future collaborations.

The ISAR (International Society for Astrological Research) Conference in Chicago (17th to 21st August) was elected for the Jupiter trine Neptune. It includes a faculty of nearly 80 International speakers (including seven from Britain) offering twelve tracks every session, with panels and a range of fascinating evening events and gatherings.

Our Astrological Association Conference (30th September to 4th October) at York will both consolidate August’s heady developments and initiate the breaking of new ground for both the Association and Astrology. With Jupiter approaching our MC and the New Moon in Libra very close to it, certainly it is appropriate that we lead the way and prepare the ground for future growth. That Mars in Taurus stations in opposition to Venus provides a pause to decide and the intensity to consolidate – to turn what inspires into reality.

On these occasions, it is not so much what we expect, but what happens when we "travel" with the right attitude that is important. When brilliant people gather with good intentions they can turn the most difficult challenges into great achievements.

The full timetable and speakers' details in four languages for the AA Conference are on www.astrologicalassociation.com – see the Conference 2005 section. Visit and study what is happening. Even if you do not think you can come, be with us in spirit and send good wishes for the Association's and astrology's future. Better still, it may not be too late to make a last minute booking. Because this is a very special time in the Association's history, this year we are holding to the June prices and you can book for two, three, or four nights. Phone the Office on 020 8880 4848, or fax 020 8880 4849, or email: office@astrologicalassociation.com

We are looking forward to being with you at this year’s great Annual Conference.

Roy Gillett – AA President
