Welcome to the November issue of Transit. You'll notice that it has been completely redesigned and hopefully these changes will make it much easier for you to get to the information you want. Simply click on the title of the article you want to read in the column on the left. You can then return to this page or go on to any other page in Transit. Following requests from readers, the relevant charts are now placed in the main body of the article, rather than on a separate link.

Again, we have our regular slots - amongst them Jenni Harte's World News, David Fisher's Data Department and Nick Campion's Media Watch. The discussion on John Cooper Powys continues with comments from Pauline Smith, Morine Krissdottir and Jeff Meddle. Jacky Sutton-Adam reviews Dave Gorman's Important Astrology Experiment plus we have several other topical articles. This issue also sees the first Musings of a Yorkshire Astrologer by David Fisher. Please feel free to offer your own musings.

Probably the most exciting news is the launch of the new MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at Bath Spa University College. As a student on that course myself I know how exciting the whole project is. Do take a look at Alice Ekrek's article. Even if you're not thinking of doing the course yourself, bringing astrology back into academia after its 300 year holiday is an occasion for us all to celebrate.

I've written about the discovery of Quaoar in this issue. With the online ephemeris available we can all experiment with placing it in charts. I'd be very interested to hear from any of you that have done just that and what results you have found.

Those readers in the UK will be more than aware of the recent news reports about the relationship between former Prime Minister John Major and Edwina Currie. And I know that a number of you have been studying their charts. Pete Watson offers his views of the astrology, and we welcome any comments about your own findings.

We've again inserted email links to the authors of articles. If you want to contact them direct to offer comments please do so. Although you obviously can direct any queries and comments to me if you prefer. If there isn't a direct link please forward any comments you may have to me and I'll ensure that they're passed on. Email Transit

Finally, thanks are due to Yasmin Boland for her technical help in putting together this new format Transit. Happy reading and I look forward to hearing from some of you soon.
