This edition of Council News gives highlights of our up and coming conference which is promising to be an event not to be missed. To date we have 300 places booked so please ensure you reserve your place by contacting the office. We have asked for contributions to the silent auction and included information on how you can make your local group known at the conference below.
As you will see from the notice concerning the AGM above, we are approaching that time of year when the Chair calls for motions and nominations. To take full advantage of Jupiter’s transit across the Association’s MC in early October 2005, and after the present difficult Pluto and Saturn transits, we will need a particularly strong Council team. Would it help if you were a part? Maturity of mind, generosity of spirit and something beneficial to contribute are the essential qualities needed, plus a concern that astrology be better understood, served and able to serve in our society. If you feel this is you, do contact the Chair at wendya@psilink.co.uk for more information.
Local Groups
At the 2005 conference in York, the AA are going to provide an area in the exhibition hall for local astrology groups. If you are coming along to the conference this is an ideal opportunity to publicise your group. You can display information, current programmes, workshops, etc., about your group, If you wish to you could also arrange a time to be at the stand to talk about your group. Please note, we will only display information if there is a member of your group present as a delegate who will be able to bring materials to the conference. Also, financial or commercial transactions will not be allowed at the local groups table. This is a marvelous opportunity to profile local groups, so make sure you book your place at this year’s conference.
Silent Auction
If anyone has any items that they would like to donate or contribute to the silent auction that will be held at this year’s York conference, please get in touch with Komilla Sutton at info@Komilla.com
