Hallo! Let's hope this lovely Spring weather here in the UK promises a good summer ahead. The weather has been stopping me from working - who wants to sit in front of a computer when the sun is out and the flowers are blossoming? - so I've completed this issue in a bit of a rush. (Like fellow Piscean Douglas Adams, I love that wooshing sound that deadlines make when they whizz past!) However, I've managed to find quite a lot of good articles for you to read.
David Fisher, the AA's own uncrowned Data King, has come up with biographical information and birthdata on Thomas á Becket, the Dutch royal family and the late Peter Ustinov. He has also contributed a thoughtful piece on his 25 years as an AA member; there are one or two assertions in there that, hopefully, will provoke some debate.
Isabelle Ghaneh has written on the US's Mars Return, as well as a memoriam to Jason Davies, a British astrologer and web whizzkid who died at a shockingly young age; Gavin Palmer explores the connections between Nostradamus, the 1999 Eclipse and Sept 11th. Paul Newman has written about Doctor Who, tying in the good Doctor with Merlin, the Morlocks and all manner of mythos, as well as showing why the actor chosen to play the latest Dr Who is astrologically perfect for the job.
Pete Watson has an article on that new British TV comedy cult "The Office", tying in this fictional (but horribly life-like) portrayal of modern working life with the current state of the UK. There is a page of thoughts on the upcoming Venus transit (with Paul Newman again contributing). Plus there's all the usual information on upcoming conferences, local groups and so on.
Read on!
