The Wessex Astrology Circle was formed at 7.30pm on 15 August 2001 in Poole, Dorset, after the closure of the Wessex Astrologers Group earlier that year. A friendly, lively and sociable group, we certainly live our chart, having Aquarius rising and Uranus opposing our seventh house Leo sun. Jupiter and the Moon conjunct the fifth house North Node in Cancer. Nurturing and welcoming new members is all important, as is the joy in creating our own entertainments, bringing food to share and the partaking of special celebrations. Keeping astrology alive and displaying a good image is central to our theme, which is no doubt shown in our chart of Pluto, the Part of Fortune and Mars all in our tenth house opposing Saturn in the fourth. We’re constantly striving to grow and improve in the best possible light. Always keen to welcome new visiting speakers to bring in new ideas, we are privileged to have Paul Newman amongst us, who teaches Astrology classes from the same venue. Perhaps this is where he gets inspiration for his amusing cartoons..?
Our meetings are held on the second Wednesday each month at Broadstone Community Centre,Poole, where our planned programme offers a varied selection of interesting speakers and events, and to which visitors are always welcomed. The usual charge of £3.50 includes refreshment and time for chat after the meetings. For further details see our website www.wag2000.fsnet.co.uk.
