As you may have heard by now the Astrological Association are launching a series of one-day workshops across the UK. We are planning to run three seminars a year, (four if you include the AA’s Kepler day.) Our inaugural seminar will be held in London on 24 February 2007, full details are available on the Association's Diary page.
After the launch seminar we plan to roll them out across the country with the help of local groups. The plan is that the AA will book and pay for the speaker and pay for printed promotional material. We would ask the groups to book their venue for us and promote it locally.
So what’s in it for the groups? Apart from national publicity we would give half of the profits, after all expenses have been taken into consideration to the group concerned. We are already in the process of organising the 2nd and 3rd seminar for 2007. We will approach each group in turn and if the proposed date is suitable for them we will then see what speakers are available and willing to do a workshop. This is an exciting venture both for the AA and for local groups.
I hope 2007 sees all local groups flourishing, and don’t forget that one lucky group member can win a free 2007 conference place. A reminder that to nominate a member of your group they must also be a member of the Astrological Association. All nominations to be sent in by a committee member and to be sent to the AA by the end of December.
