Family Dynamics

Three approaches to understanding how we carry imprints, habits and patterns of our family origins into daily life: Subjective experience with the family & personal family script from an individual's chart; Collective family patterns & myths through comparing charts of at least three generations; Family system & the role of each person living together through relating the individual charts.

New Moon Cycles and Individual Development

The New Moon before birth chart describes how the collective combines with the personal and how the karmic imprint explains unconscious behaviour patterns. The first New Moon after birth can be used as a metaphor for family dynamics. Using these wih the natal chart provides the consulting astrologer with powerful new tools.

Historical study of the Uranus-Neptune cycle related to globalisation

When practicing Mundane astrology and when treating of history at the highest level, the temporal homogeneity of repetitive astral revolutions -as Uranus-Neptune conjunctions are- is the lign to follow. Nevertheless, it has to be emphasized that, since the discovery of both these planets, the history of Man on Earth has taken a new dimension instanced by the radical metamorphosis of the world society for the last two centuries. Life has never changed that much in only few generations.

Caged glory: Saturn In Leo

As Saturn enters Leo, the focus shifts from issues of security,to the realm of courage. The courage to be, the courage to love, to stand up against pressure. What are the collective and individual issues that emerge as Saturn passes through the sign? How to be strong without going too far? To hold fast without losing heart?

Celestial Ancestors and Astrological Heredity

What does astrology say about our connection to the ancestors, to shared houses and signs, to planetary signatures passed from one generation to the next? How do we work with these celestial affiliations? We will see how to undo the ties that bind and yet still welcome their gifts of vitality and spirit.

Your Birth Myth and it's Lifelong Psychological Implications

The Birth Myth is the story you were told about your birth as a child. For many years, Christian has collected these “welcome to the world”-stories from his clients and compared them to their birth chart and real life situations. Finding the Birth Myth reveals the hidden agenda ruling the person’s unconscious grownup habits. It enables us to strike up a valuable conversation with clients.

Special people have special Charts

We are taught, that each birth chart is unique and different, but “some charts are more different than others”. Can a person with rare planetary positions be understood by his/hers peers? New research into the rarity of certain aspects and configurations demonstrates how these warrant a special. Special people have special charts and deserve special consultations. How uncommon and exceptional is your Birth-chart?

The Soul, the Life Path and the Nature of One’s God or Divinity Friday Masterclass

One of the features of both medieval astrology and visual astrology are their techniques for considering questions of one’s personal spiritual path, one’s journey through life and the sense of fulfilment that is or is not gained from this path. Although these techniques are ancient or from the Middle Ages, they are still important questions that we all have about our own charts and indeed that most of our clients have, also. Bring along your chart and an open mind.

Visual Astrology – Stars, Planets, Colours and Kings

For over two millennia we have focused our astrology on the ecliptic, so it is worth asking the question: is the rest of the sky relevant? Does it offer astrologers any tools for aiding in the delineation of our natal charts? This lecture comes from the work Bernadette has developed in the Visual Astrology Newsletter and suggests that the sky does still hold information for our 21st century astrology.

Fate, Complexity and Myths

The world was ruled by chaos when astrology emerged from the Mesopotamian culture. All things were connected and related and such views, disregarded by Newtonian science as naive or even evil, are now re-emerging within science under the guise of complexity and chaos theories. One of the major debates within these subjects is concerned with the definition of fate and freewill. Such ideas do have interesting implications concerning the nature of astrology itself and its role in the post-modern world.

The Structure of the (Sidereal) Zodiac: Galactic Matrix and Solilunar Rhythms.

Old mythology perceives the heavens as the matrix of the solar system. The division of the original sidereal zodiac follows the rhythms of the systemic levels Earth, Moon and Sun. The galactic plane above these forms the zodiac in which the planets “dwell”. Recent findings on the harmonical structure of the planetary orbits explain the position of the planetary domiciles, specially the adjoining domiciles of Moon and Sun.

Friday Workshop (with Charles Ridoux) Mundane Workshop

Cutting edge mudane studies from France and UK.

Didier CASTILLE

joined French national institute for statistics more than 20 years ago and discovered Astrology at the late 80’s. While he was being trained to the astrological domain, he started connecting his professionnal skills and his new passion. He has specialized in astrological and demographic research, particularly by investigating natality seasonal rhythms and describing their astrological consequences on population. In this very perspective, he is now comparing international natality data. He also studied marriages and showed some synastric correlations between spouses in a scientific way. He is going into research projects about astrological heredity and relationships within families. This project intends to establish scientifically that astrology relies on effective schemes and to further astrological techniques. Francais  [Fr]  [En]

Using demographic data as astrological research tools

Human societies are regulated by seasonal natality rhythms which vary according to births places and time periods. Describing populations under astrological angles is precious for any researcher willing to explore astrology in a global way. In particular, these reports have been used in a promising research program on astrological heredity which brought to light temporal correlations within families.

The Question of a Spiritual Foundation for Astrology Sunday evening workshop

The re-orientation of all horoscopic astrology as divination has radical consequences for practice, and for our understanding of its spiritual foundation. This seminar aims to clarify cardinal points of debate with a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.

Bodhisattva in the Six Realms - the astrologer points back in each state of existence

We say that astrology shows us things but what truly does it show, and to what end? At a certain point in our practice we begin to realise that everything we are doing is subtly turning our attention in another direction to the one we thought we wanted.

Faye Cossar

completed an MA degree in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at Bath Spa University in 2004. Her dissertation suggested a model for company life cycles, based on the Huber Age Progression method, and compared it to other business models. Another of her papers researched the techniques used in astrology to look at past lives and discussed the results with past life therapists. Since 1992 Faye has advised business and private clients in her practice in Amsterdam. She has a successful business background in consultancy and management and is also a trained (Regression and Inner Child) therapist.

What time is it?: The magic of the cosmic 72 year cycle. How to tell the time in your life, your company and your country.

Faye will briefly explain the 72-year Huber cycle and provide case studies showing that it has relevance for companies and countries as well as individuals.

The universal language of past lives: An examination of patterns found during past life regression and the links to the horoscope.

Working with clients from many countries, Faye has collected regression examples from diverse world areas. Within these stories, she has discovered similarities which a knowledge of astrology can help explain.

Astrology and Business Sunday Evening panel

Whether for predictions of market prices, marketing and personnel strategies, or corporate structure and launching strategies, astrology can give us a better edge and greater understanding. Faye will join Geogia Stathis and Ray Merriman to help you explore the possibilities.

Venus : The Rose and the Thorns of Love

The need to express love and to attract beauty is fundamental to being human. Bringing Venus into awareness, by sign, position and aspects, draws colour and sharpness into our field of experience. This talk will explore how love and danger are integral and necessary to each other.

The Secret Side of Saturn

There are those who love Saturn and those who hate Saturn but none can avoid the old 'Lord of Time.' Darby looks at the obvious and secret obstacles and treasures Saturn transits bring. We will concern ourselves particularly with its present transit in Leo and its relationship to the outer planets.

Another Look at Astrology

In 50 years we've moved forward, putting a psychological frame on astrology, then moved back to rediscover our ancient roots. Neither has been successful in bringing astrology into a professional space respected by our intellectual peers. This lecture proposes a re-visioning of astrology which might do just that.

Mental Chemistry in the Birth Chart

Birth charts may not reveal intelligence per se, but the daily motion of the Moon and relative positions of Mercury can reveal reliable information about an individual's cognitive mode. This lecture explains the types and points out their relevance in chart interpretation. Illustrated with examples of well known people.

Desperate strategies for loving

Born with certain predispositions for giving and receiving love, and with a set of values and tastes reflected by Venus in the personal horoscope, we make or break bonds to those we love according to the placement and aspects of this planet. Adrian will show how to transform strategies that bring failure to strategies that bring success.

Persuasive transformation techniques

The horoscope is a brilliant diagnostic tool, but harnessing the chart to bring psychological transformation is something of a challenge. With a command of the word, formulation of questions and reframing techniques, it is possible to show problems in a new light and empower and transform the world view of the client.

In which Hermes plays his sacred harp, tuned to the key of the Harmony of Spheres which unlocks the portal to the Horoskopickal Temple, and brings to light subtle mysteries long hid within the dynamic geometria of the astrological Kosmos of his sacred Tradition, whereby to operate the mystical mutations of Alchymia.

Two Horoscopes of the World

Julius Firmicus Maternus has bequeathed us one version of a World Horoscope, and John Gadbury presents another, "derived from Valens of Antioch." Both are 'unreal', yet both offer profound insights, mundane and philosophical, into the nature, power and mystery of the dynamic Kosmos of our Muse Urania, such as may lead us to the proper understanding and practice of her sublime Art.

Dennis Elwell

Starting to teach himself the basics as a teenager, at 23 Dennis Elwell began writing regularly for American Astrology, the first popular magazine on the subject. The association continued for 20 years. A newspaperman for all his career, he became an international lecturer and contributed to many journals. The quest for the theoretical underpinning of astrology led to an interest in science on the one hand, and on the other to unorthodox thinkers like Rudolf Steiner. For ten years he taught his methods as a distant learning programme. An enlarged and updated version of his Cosmic Loom was published by the Urania Trust in 1999.

Foresight Astrology Friday Masterclass

The techniques of predictive astrology can used in a life-enhancing way, not one that makes us anxious. As well as discussing the relative value of the various time-signatures, we shall explore the vital issue of how to interpret the data they provide, and how best to communicate these insights to others.

Astrology is a Foreign Language

Much astrology is confined to the language of talk over the teacups, which is seldom adequate to express its unique insights. Removing this self-imposed restriction will allow it to develop in its own terms, as other sciences have had to do, and reveal the true nature of the forces at work in our lives.

Astrology at the Races

Some of the leading figures in modern astrology, including Sepharial, Carter and Addey, have wrestled with the possibility of giving a practical demonstration of its tenets by predicting winners. How successful were their methods? We shall see how the heavens do indeed create a bias in favour of certain runners.

Advanced techniques in predictive astrology.

This work is connected with some different techniques: from the past, like Primary Directions, or developed at the XX century, as the PSSR, discovered by Cyril Fagan. All must be used like a system, and we include Secondary Directions, Cyclic Charts and Transits (direct and prenatal), all with some technical variation.

Astrid Fallon EPFAB CAP

The hidden meanings of the declination zodiac

The astrology charts we use are always drawn in two dimensions; these two reveal the third dimension, called declination. Many graphic illustrations are used to give meaning to the natural declination cycle, in relationship to declination variation of the tropical zodiac, so central to astrology.

What Lunar and Planetary Nodes tell us ?

The lunar nodes cycle controls the oscillations of the Moon's cathedral with a pattern that affects global trends. This lecture uses many original graphics to explore the above and to show how to interpret the celestial keys for our mental calculations that are the planetary nodes.

How Conventional Science and Astrology Can Research Together

Few people know that if one goes deep into astrological research one reaches a frontier where astrological knowledge can’t help. To turn our insights into predictions requires the tools of science and the marriage of the two will open a new future for astrology. Anyone interested in research is invited to attend and for collaboration!

Vedic AstroMapping

Using the Vedic approach one can get an amazingly accurate view of how a person will feel and experience in a particular place. One can also see such things as when a person will be drawn to a place and when she will leave it or where one’s marriage partner, success and fame may come from.

NO WINGS WITHOUT ROOTS – The Family Battleground in the Chart

How families work and how much space they create for happiness or unhappiness, for love or pain, depends on three key elements: order, balance and affiliation. These dynamics have evolved from the experience with family constellations of Bert Hellinger, the renowned German psychotherapist. The lecture gives you an idea of how to find the quality of these dynamics in a natal chart. You get a new valuable insight into the nature of chronic illnesses and disorders. An astrological study on suicides seems to confirm these new concepts.

PLACES OF DESTRUCTION – Critical Degrees in Locality Astrology

Critical degrees are considered to be sensitive points of the ecliptic, that strengthen or weaken any planet placed within a certain orb of them. With methods of the spatial oriented astrology (Local Spaces and Astrocartography) it is easy to show that not only the planet but the innate quality of the ecliptic point itself leaves traces on Earth. Thus, the locations of Hitler’s concentration camps can be derived from his radix as well as the places of aircraft accidents from the radix of the airline owner.

Benedetto Gazzolo

He lives in a house in the middle of olives trees just in front of the Liguria sea.

Astrology during the Roman Empire

For about 400 years until the coming of Christianity, astrology was very important for emperors, artists, philosophers and most ordinary Roman people. There were many great astrologers and writings. We remember Manilius’ “Astronomicon”, Firmicus Maternus’ “Matheseos”, Trasillus and his son Balbillus served four Emperors. Most important was Claudius Tolomeus .
