The 2006 Astrological Association Conference
"Astrology Then and Now"

 |
With twenty-two highly experienced
speakers from USA, Europe, the key UK astrology schools
and organisations; the Association’s 38th Annual Conference
offered a feast of astro-wisdom and a wonderful family sense
of community. Delegates enjoyed the convenient and comfortable
surroundings.
The arrival of two reporters from The Independent newspaper
a day after the exact Saturn/Neptune opposition auspiciously
provided positive publicity in the Saturday press. |
Highly popular was Bernadette Brady receiving
the Harvey Award for Exceptional Service to Astrology and her
moving acceptance speech. The Award was presented by past-recipient
Sue Tompkins.

Sue gave this year’s Carter Memorial Lecture - The Macrocosm-Microcosm
Picture Show. She was as entertaining as ever; although a recent
accident obliged her to work from a wheel chair.
The times seemed that challenging for Council Members (the courageous
organisers of the event) and many of the other delegates present.
That we all made it there and were totally glad we had speaks
volumes for the positive and transformative capacity of working
with astrological understanding.
Memorable Conference quotation "A Chihuahua is
very small, but it is still a dog" ~ Gloria Star
commenting on the I.A.U.’s Pluto vote.
