The 2005 Astrological Association Conference
"Many Tongues, One Languages"

With a Jupiter return and the eclipsed new Moon near to the AA's
natal MC, plus the Mars retrograde station opposed Venus; the
multilingual Conference 2005 was an appropriately challenging
time for delegates to make breakthroughs, share and work together.
It was a great success.
Lectures were of a high standard. Translators were devoted unifiers
of our understanding. Nearly four hundred delegates from over
16 countries made friends and new contacts - laying important
foundations for the future.
There were moments of high occasion - notably the specially made
Carter Memorial Film of Andre Barbault's seventy years in astrology
( beautifully translated by Lynn Bell); and the spontaneous acclamation
at the end of the Conference.
Congratulations to Geoffery Cornelius, who received the Charles
Harvey Award for Exceptional Service to Astrology for his writing
and lifetime contribution to horary and academic astrology. Cornelia
Stephens won two raffle prizes; a free 2006 Conference, then three
bottles of champagne to celebrate it with.
It was that kind of conference!
The Hum(our) at York |

| By Valerie Pierres and Patrick Casey |
| |
Seekers gathered in grand conjunction
with books in arm, talking of trine and opposition.
An eclectic sea, a marvelous mob
of characters searching for a language to rob
the sky of its secrets and forgotten passion. |

The Piscean city hears our hum, and calmly thinks.
The earthy laughter and airborne floating sparks of thought,
Is this a modern fall of Babel come to Eboracum’s court
?
No, it is an ancient hum, not Roman tongue
or Norse, the latent language of the Universe. |
