The 2004 AA Conference in review

The 2004 Conference subtitled "Founts of Wisdom" took place between the 3rd and 5th of September 2004 at Bath Spa University. Here is what the AA journal had to say about this fabulous event: "Glorious late summer weather blessed Bath Spa UC's beautiful landscape for the entire AA Conference this year - an auspicious acknowledgement by the cosmos of astrology's return to the academy. Conference presentations were wide-ranging and of the highest standard - including brilliantly staffed MA and Back to Basics Tracks.

Melanie Reinhart received the Charles Harvey Award for Exceptional Service to Astrology. Patrick Curry's Carter Memorial Lecture was challengingly entertaining. Chester Kemp, our Vice President, retired. We celebrated his four decades working for astrology.

Bernadette Brady's evening under the stars was popular. We enjoyed the fine quality of the evenings at the Roman Baths and at the Assembly Rooms for the Ball. Jean Elliott's Astro Garden, in the shape of a Node, was full of captivating detail.

We enjoyed meeting old friends, making new ones and sharing astrological understandings with experts - be they well, or not so well known. In spite of the beauty of the landscape, more convenient locations, space and time would have been appreciated - all of which will be there next year at York.
